18 U.S.C. § 2257 Compliance Notice

Statement of compliance

All sexually explicit content distributed or made available by Vibe Dungeon — including persona dialogue, scene transcripts, voice output, written task assignments, and any imagery — is generated by artificial intelligence systems and depicts no real, identifiable human persons. No real human performers exist in any scene the service generates; the personas described on this site (Mistress Vex, the Headmistress, Vivienne the Patient, and the rest) are fictional simulations, not stage names for, depictions of, or impersonations of any real person.

Because there are no real performers and no real conduct, the record-keeping and labeling requirements of 18 U.S.C. §§ 2257 and 2257A do not apply to the content this service generates.

Why § 2257 records are not required

Sections 2257 and 2257A of Title 18 require "producers" of visual depictions of "actual sexually explicit conduct" — and for § 2257A, of certain simulated conduct — to maintain identification records for the real human performers depicted. The statute, by its terms and its legislative purpose, addresses the protection of real people who may be exploited by being filmed.

Where no real person is depicted, performed, or impersonated, there are no records of identity, age, or consent to maintain. The records the statute requires — legal names, dates of birth, copies of government-issued identification — exist for performers, and Vibe Dungeon has no performers. The applicable identity records of the people actually interacting with the service are subscriber records governed by the Privacy Policy, not performer records governed by § 2257.

Custodian of records

Out of an abundance of caution and in the spirit of the statute's transparency norms, Vibe Dungeon designates a Custodian of Records to receive any inquiries from law enforcement, regulators, or members of the public regarding the absence of § 2257 records.

The custodian's designation will be finalized before public launch and published here in full, in the form contemplated by 28 C.F.R. § 75.6.

What records are maintained

For the avoidance of doubt, the following summarizes what Vibe Dungeon does and does not retain about the people who interact with the service:

• Performer records (none). No real performers exist. No § 2257 records are required, kept, or in custody.
• Subscriber records. Email address, account settings, scene transcripts, and other items enumerated in the Privacy Policy. These are governed by privacy law, not § 2257.
• Waitlist records (closed beta). Today, the closed-beta site stores only what is described in Privacy: email, the pricing tier card a visitor clicked from (if any), and a submission timestamp.
• Business records. Tax, billing, and corporate-records retention as required by applicable law, independent of § 2257.

If real performers ever appear

If the service ever incorporates content that depicts an actual, identifiable human person engaged in actual or simulated sexually explicit conduct — for example, motion-capture or voice work from a real performer for a future persona, collaboration content, or licensed material — § 2257 compliance for that specific content becomes mandatory and Vibe Dungeon will:

• collect and retain the full § 2257 records for every depicted performer (legal name, DOB, copy of government-issued photo ID, any professional names used);
• store those records in the form and manner specified by 28 C.F.R. §§ 75.2–75.7;
• make them available for inspection by the Attorney General during the inspection hours posted above;
• label the specific content per 18 U.S.C. § 2257(e)(1) and 28 C.F.R. § 75.6;
• update this page to reflect that real-performer content has been introduced, and to publish the full custodian designation.

Until that happens, no such content exists and the framework above is a forward-looking commitment, not a current obligation.
